CCISUA President Offers Condolences to the People of Haiti 13-1-2010 | Statement by CCISUA on the earthquake in Haiti On this day of devastation for all United Nations staff, CCISUA extends deepest sympathy to the Secretary-General and the entire UN community on the loss of those who have been serving the cause of peace in Haiti. Our colleagues in MINUSTAH and other UN agencies and programmes have paid the ultimate price and we mourn their loss as our hearts go out to their loved ones. We would also like to express our care and concern for those injured, and our wish for their speedy recovery. We anxiously await news of the missing in the hope that the losses will be fewer than feared. To the people of Haiti we offer our condolences and our pledge that our membership will do all we can to assist in this time of need. Christopher Land-Kazlauskas President
